OWNER, EVA NIETO-BAKER

Eva hails from South Sioux City, Nebraska. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Wayne State College in 2001. While finishing her degree, Eva opened Maya Modification in 1999. Upon completing her collegiate career, Eva studied body piercing and branding from world famous Shaman, Fakir Musafar, in San Francisco, California. Eva quickly developed a reputation as Sioux City’s most experienced piercer with commitment to the highest quality. Due to her dedication to quality and responsibility in the body modification industry, she helped develop and implement Sioux City regulations and laws regarding body piercing. Eva also became the region’s first, and continues to be the only, body brander. She lives in Sioux City with her husband and 3 children.

Eva promises that a visit to Maya Modification ensures a sterile and friendly atmosphere, where the customer is prioritized above all else. Eva has been featured in Sioux City’s Weekender Magazine and Siouxland Women’s Magazine. She has also been profiled in national publications, such as Savage Magazine and Midwest Tattoo Magazine. She has provided services at many national and international body modification conventions. Maya is the only studio in the tri-state area that is members of the Association of Professional Piercers.
